After living most of my first thirty years as a native Texan, I have recently become a Washington state transplant. As soon as I began to explore the Cascade and Olympic mountains, I had found myself a new home in the Pacific Northwest. I am lured into the wilderness by what seems to be an infinite amount of trail-heads leading in. It seems that each time I go into one of our State or National Parks I get the desire to go deeper into the woods and as far as my feet can take me along the trails.
It doesn’t matter if I’m day hiking, car camping, or wilderness backpacking – I always have a camera in my pack. At any time, I may be trying to capture the nature that surrounds me using my iPhone 4S, Panasonic Lumix DMC-TS3, GoPro, or Canon Rebel XS. On rare occasion I may bring out my 35mm Canon Rebel or even my Polaroid. No matter the situation, my batteries are always fully charged and ready to hit the trail!
